This is Life surrounding me -
dragonflies and bumblebees,
birds, squirrels, people, trees...
Let me be alive and free -
please, let me be real.

Feet on earth are sinking in,
breeze plays against my sun-warmed skin,
often so yang, let me be yin
and receive sweet grace.

Raindrops fall from bright-cloud sky,
I sit in awe and wonder why,
secured within the house am I
more so often than not.

My mind unloosens its tight grip
around my heart, around my lips,
Lightly tickled as raindrops drip
on my arms and exposed toes.

A few moments here unbend
an eternity of pain within,
I feel breath and Life force sinking in
to meet me where I am.
